Good Beer & Great Conversation

Our guide for the tour was Anja. Our group consisted of individuals from South Africa, UK, and USA. We visited three breweries/establishments, tasting a range of their local fare. While tasting and walking, we learned about the East German history and culture. We also learned a great deal about each other as what's a better way to get to know the other guests on the tour but over a beer? Oh, and I can't miss talking about the wonderful fried cauliflower, onion rings, and what I'm going to call a flat pizza (flammkuchen). Another plus is that our guide is a home brewer, which was wonderful for my son who is also a homebrewer. The two of them were able to geek out talking about different hops and brewing styles. By the end of our tour, we were exchanging social media information. Alja also offered and sent each of us a listing of attractions and dining options to help complete our time in Berlin. Loved the personal touches.

Such an amazing tour! Highly recommend! Very unique experience and very fun getting to know the other travelers in our group! Tour guide was also amazing and had tons of fun and interesting facts about the city and the neighborhood!

Traditional and non traditional beer tasting with a knowledgeable native
Alex is a native of Berlin and a treasure of interesting information. He is very knowledgeable of German beer and has so many insightful facts regarding his city. Very polite and enthusiastic. An excellent tour, and would highly reccomend it

Great way to experience Berlin

This was an amazing way to not only get to taste some of Berlin’s newest craft beers, but to also see parts of the Friedrichschein we probably wouldn’t have even known about. Alex was a great tour guide and answered all our questions. Absolutely recommend.

Craft Beer Fun!

The tour was great! Alex knows a lot about the craft beer brewing process and shares the information in an interesting way. We stopped at 3 places and tasted high quality beer and food. The tour was a very small group (3) that allowed for personal discussions on culture and history along with the beer knowledge.

Fun, Broad-Ranging Craft Beer Tour

Super personable and informative guide; adapted well to the group and mixed in super in-depth knowledge of beer production processes and local scene with history. Great mix of beers across a variety of types and, as promised, a fun intro to a great area of the city. Particularly recommend as one of your first activities within Berlin.

A wonderful beertour in East Berlin

We highly recommend this beer & kulturtour in Berlin, if you like good eksperimental and classic beer and hearing stories about the area and the sights at the same time. Alex has a big knowledge about the subjects and about brewing and is a very friendly person, and it was interesting meeting and spending time with people from different parts of the world.

Must Do in Berlin

I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Berlin. Alex is an excellent tour guide who is very knowledgeable. The neighborhood is also a fantastic part of the city, so it was great getting to walk around there. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked a different tour with Alex during our visit.
