Great tour!

This was a great tour! The hot springs and volcano were the highlight. Unfortunately the Ox cart was not there when we were their, but the tour was still interesting and their gift shop was really nice. The guides were very knowledgeable and we stayed on time. Would recommend!

Increible experiencia

Todo lo que nos mencionaron al inicio fue cumplido superando las expectativas, la visita a Sarchí, el almuerzo, la visita al volcán y las aguas termales. El guía Eugenio muy servicial y atento en todo momento.
Como mejora, reconsideren la ruta que toman para llegar a La Fortuna y/o el regreso a San José, existen otros caminos y el que tomaron fue súper pesado, no todos tenemos la misma resistencia a caminos con demasiadas curvas que te deja mareado varios días.

Relaxing and beautiful, and very kind staff and agency!
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this tour, I had debated it for a while and booked it a little last minute on Sunday, for Tuesday - Victoria who all comms were with was so kind in giving me my pick up time in the early evening the day before as I was so tired from the awesome rafting day I also did with this agency, I needed an early night to be ready. The pick up was on time and Mario the guide met me with a smile, offered to help with my things and we got on the bus. We met some other people along the way, so 19 passengers in total - it didn’t feel like a big group as we all introduced ourselves and said where we were from. The drive up is broken up with a trip to an oxcart factory and a photo stop of an oxcart, then you go to Arenal’s view point where you can stop for a good amount of time for photos. I could easily have spent so long there! Mario and the driver also spotted a sloth as we drove up, so a telescope was pulled out of a bag (ready for anything!) and we pulled over, and Mario took time to make sure we all had a go to see it and helped take pictures through the telescope. They didn’t have to do that as it wasn’t part of the tour (being a wild sloth) it was very thoughtful and kind to make a stop. The hot springs aren’t packed like I had expected, I found a lovely spot where there were barely any people and I could keep an eye on my things and soak peacefully. There are lots of pools, the bar areas are the busier ones. After a day of rafting on my previous tour, was a perfect follow up! And the coolest top pool actually was soothing on sunburn too. You get about 2 hrs in the springs, there are lockers and you’re given a towel and plenty of rooms in the changing rooms and showers, no queues. The drive back is long, but this is the first tour I’ve done with a long drive with a designated bathroom break on the return journey which makes it much better, and the van was comfortable and the lights dimmed so you can nap. The lunch was great too! Finally, I left my cap on the bus (I’d had a busy few days and was sleepy) and messaged Victoria over Tripadvisor - I don’t know what communications were made but she kindly messaged within barely a couple of hours, and I returned to my hotel today to find my cap safely returned by the driver. Kindness all round by this company, and they genuinely care and want you to have a lovely time. For a solo traveller it’s a great experience!

Must Visit in CR!
Must visit while in CR!

Guides were nothing short of amazing and their driving skills = legendary! Getting there and back was like “Tokyo Drift!” So be prepared if you get motion sickness.

Gave fantastic information about local and national history!

Someone complained about being in the Springs. You have plenty of time to enjoy the multiple springs or if the springs are not your thing, you can enjoy the shops in La Fortuna!

The company set us up with lockers, towels, pointers, along with lunch and dinner.

Will use this company next visit!

Take this tour!

Amazing tour and tour guides! Max was a very knowledgeable tour guide and the meals included were well worth the price as well. Everything included was worth the price. Also, if you do want a massage, be sure to schedule that ahead of time with the spa and also you have to pay separately for the massage.

Muy caro para lo que ofrecen
Muchas piscinas, pero prácticamente todas a la misma temperatura. Me esperaba mucho más por el precio tan alto que pagué. Y si pides de comer o beber ya te roban del todo. Lo mejor que tienen son los toboganes.

I really enjoyed the tour, it’s a huge time commitment in getting there and back. Baldi Hot Springs was truly amazing, highly recommend adding on a massage from the spa and making your way to the very top with the hottest pool.

Tour guide wasn’t very personable, he had many stops to keep us on track which could have made him stressed out.

Lunch was good, dinner at Baldi was terrible. Given so many restaurants nearby in Fortuna wish they would choose a better option.

Great value for an entire day of activities and meals.

Great Trip!

Super fun trip! Lunch and dinner were both amazing, (go to the pasta station for dinner!) and the hot springs were equally awesome. Only downside was the long drive (3.5 hr) back, but we slept through most of it, and if you want to visit the hot springs from San Jose, a long drive is necessary. Adrien and Rico were very funny and great guides!!!

Great spot with lots of options
Great time! Even though it did rain there were several hot springs you could visit that were covered. The trip does include another tour of an ox cart making site it was quite interesting. I would definitely recommend this
