Went to see Aladdin it was such a fantastic show. Not been to the theatre in years and this definitely will change that. All the staff were so friendly from the booking team to the staff in the theatre on the night.

At Theatre Royal Plymouth, the magic of human connection unfolds onstage. Tonight's performance was nothing short of captivating, drawing us into a world where emotions run deep and stories come alive. From the first note to the final curtain call, the actors breathed life into their characters with a sincerity that felt utterly human. Every laugh, every tear, every moment of suspense was shared among us, forging an unspoken bond in the dimly lit theater. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of live performance to touch our hearts and stir our souls. Theatre Royal Plymouth, once again, has proven itself a master of the human experience

Came here for the first time with my 7 year old daughter to see the panto and to be honest - I was dreading it, it’s not really my thing and I haven’t been to panto since I was a kid.
It’s now something I’ll do annually. I was absolutely crying with laughter. Amongst the innocent children’s fairytale, there was a lot of underlying and ambiguous adult humour that had me in stitches!
The production was fab and sets were really well made. I thought the local humour was hilarious (3 Janner Bears etc). I thought Dame Kelly Holmes looked petrified on occasion and was quite wooden but it’s not her day-to-day gig so I’ll let her off. Brendan Cole was excellent as the bad guy and I loved that he can have a laugh at himself and not take it too seriously.
The TRP and organisation was brilliant and I couldn’t fault it truth be told. I’d definitely see something else here.

I took my 3/4 year old granddaughter to this show as she knows the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears very well . Whilst I understand that this version was a panto and a lot is of the story lines in panto can sometimes be left to creative thinking , I have to announce that my little granddaughter was unable to connect the story to the fairy tale she knows so well and this left us all very disappointed and at times a bit bored.
The star cast consisted of people with little acting or singing skills . In fact it was quite embarrassing at times . The main part of each scene merely allowed poorly gifted entertainers from summer holiday camps to show how lacking their skills were in activities like juggling and puppet shows . I was also horrified that one act juggled ping pong balls from his mouth, an act aimed at young children !!!!! I think not !!!!
. My granddaughter kept asking when the 3 bears were coming ? And which actress was Goldilocks? She blinked and missed the porridge tasting !!!
On a positive note the actor who played Joey was good and tried his best to hold the show together.
The back crew of the production did a fantastic job with the scenery , special effects and costumes .
However I am so sad that panto season seems a bit of a rip off when there is no story line and the cast can’t deliver as they are so inexperienced . Come on Plymouth , surely we can do better than this , especially at the price we have to pay for seats .
Alternatively , bring back a venue for the amateur pantos that were more professional and affordable and great fun to watch!!!

My mum and I went to the Theatre Royal Plymouth and it was spectacular! We watched the ballet of Swan Lake and it was a show I’ll never forget. The dances were beyond beautiful and the music brought the show to life. Overall, I think that it was incredible and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves music, dance and magic!

Had friends staying over was booked as a surprise to see Lost in Music. We have all seen before at other venues, they are brilliant to see live and you want to get up and dance. That is the point of going. However, as we were seated in front of the lighting guys which was not shown on the seating plan . I would not have booked. We were told we couldn't dance even though everyone in front and around us were. So annoyed. Spoke to the Manager at the interval who did agree with me. He then moved us to the gods which was so high I was in fear of dancing. As i don't like heights this was even worse. Our evening was completely ruined , no real apology or good will shown. Just take your money. These seats should not be booked out if you don't want people dancing.

Fantastic show
Please do another one soon!
I'd love a 90s theme one!
Lovely seats in the dress circle
Allowed to stand and dance, some chose to sit which was fine

Went to see Do you Believe in Ghosts, have to say I have seen better school productions, wooden acting no very stimulating and I only lasted until the interval couldn't waste another 50 minutes of my time. This is not one of the best Theatre Royal, sorry.

Took my granddaughter to see sherk the .musical this was her first visit to a musical she was very excited. Unfortunately the show was not advertised as a restricted view on some of the seats due to the on stage scenery to which I had paid full price for the seats booked. Had this had been advertised I would have booked different seats with full view at full price ticket price. Therefore we missed parts of the show as there was no view! I have contacted theatre royal twice but 4 weeks later I still have not had any reply even though their automated system says they will contact! Very disappointed and let down.

Hi again...to all you lovely staff....
I have asked few times, no one has answered.....
Do you allow people to stand and dance to the sides, not blocking anyone view... Is this possible please?????????? Anyone???
Hi coming to see a fantastic reggae band can we dance to the side Not obscuring anyone's view.....
Hi, going to see a band, who encourages dancing...
But I've been told no dancing allowed 😔
I don't think everyone knows this.. They have always allowed dancing, as long as you don't block someone view

Hi there, to see a dance production would you recommend viewing from central middle stalls (row H), row D or the AA seats? Have not seen NDT2 for 15 years and am now bringing my daughters and would love the best view possible … any advice?

Do not sit too close to the stage if sitting in the stalls, centrally advised. However if you can upgrade to the circle centrally it’s far better.
