This certainly isn't my first trip to Staunton Farm. In fact, when I lived in Hampshire, I had an annual pass - that's how much we enjoyed it. Since moving further afield, we haven't been in that general area. As he loves animals, my wife and I decided to take our two year old on his birthday. Not a lot has changed since we last visited - it's obviously more expensive (£10pp whereas I think a few years ago it was around the £8pp mark), but I still think it's relatively good value. Even though it isn't big, it is certainly a nice way to pass a half-day/day. Car parking is free, once you get the code from behind the reception.
One thing I really like about Staunton is the way it gives opportunities to local people in the community. It feels less like a business set out to make lots of money, and more like a place where people interested in gaining skills
My only complaint is the people working in the cafe weren't the friendliest, and in my opinion, could do with some customer service training. One of the women was rather brusque when I asked whether she could open up another part so we could have our lunch - it seemed like we were an inconvenience. The food offering however is excellent.

A great time at Staunton Farm with our two teenage boys. After visiting the country park last year, I regretted not paying to enter the farm and I’m so pleased we did this year, it was good fun and the kids remembered everything from when they were little. Staff are helpful and friendly on entering, they recommended how many cups of feed to buy and it was spot on! The animals looked very well cared for and it was fun to feed them, especially the goats, lamas and the prettiest cow I’ve ever seen. Obviously with a 17 and 14 year old in tow you get a fair bit of joking but it was fab to come back to a place with lovely memories and have quality family time together. The maze is small but good fun and they enjoyed talking to each other through the pipe. The folly, gardens and greenhouse with the fish and huge water lilies are interesting and nice to walk through, course it helps when the sun is shining! It was a quick visit, which I expected as obviously the farm caters for young children, so afterwards we visited the county park. It’s over the road so can be included in your overall parking fee as you pay for parking on exit which is much better than trying to judge how long you will stay for. I don’t get people who leave bad reviews just because of the parking fee and I wonder if these same people moan when they pay for parking for a shopping centre! Mmmm. In the end the parking was free anyway. We had a picnic on the hill of the country park overlooking the lake with a fantastic view, walked around the lake looking at the wooden structures and carvings and then headed home. All in all a lovely day out and we will most definitely return.

We loved seeing the animals especially the highland cows and alpacas. Nicely set out. The parking charge was confusing but luckily it didn’t cost anything.

My boyfriend and I, both in our 20s, had a spontaneous visit for a date activity and loved it.
Very reasonably priced entry (£9.50 adult) and an additional reasonable price for a pot of animal feed (£1 each). Lots of animals to see - the goats, sheep and cows were a particular highlight.
A shame that the garden and greenhouse are a little tired. Can’t comment on the cafe as we did not visit there this time.

Staunton farm is a good day out for children of all ages. There’s lots of things on offer for your children to do. Food was lovely from the cafe, soft play was brilliant and most importantly the animals seemed well looked after. My one year old loved it!

The farm really forms part of the wider Staunton Park. The animals are well looked after and accessible and seemed to proved a great hit with the under 7s. The walled garden and glasshouses were somewhat neglected but must have been stunning in their day. A walk around the lake in the park is possible with a mobility scooter and is peaceful and attractive. Good place for a picnic but few benches and no table we could find. Paying to visit the farm gives free car parking.

Visited the Staunton country park Havant. Disappointed to see we had to pay £4.50 for 2 hours parking. Had a delightful walk down the slope to the lake and walked around back up and decided to get coffee. Renovated stables are an amazing place to sit and have coffee and a snack. Only problem is the staff seemed to be short on the coffee. It was hot milk with a slight touch of coffee. Please please make proper coffee. I have to say the staff were warm and friendly

Is it a quiet place? I see a lot of people come with kids. Are they allowed to scream and run?
