Heals has an incompetent and broken logistics system. Ordered 2 chairs in November. It's now the end of February and I still don't have them. They have promised delivery twice. On each occasion I took time off work for the delivery. And on each occasion their lorry turned up, but with NO chairs. Now they have written to me saying the chairs are ready to be delivered but I owe them payment for one chair. I paid in full for both in November. It's would be funny if it wasn't such a waste of time and cause of frustration and anxiety. They are totally incompetent and should rip up their logistics dept and start again.

So, apparently the photograph attached is of a perfectly acceptable quality sofa. So say Heals...

If that's what you're looking for then by all means go ahead and buy their furniture. Otherwise read on about my experience:

For context, this sofa bought from Heals, after only 18 months of very occasional use has become saggy, lumpy and uncomfortable. It is a far cry from the "luxurious", "generous", "elegant silhouette" (their words) advertised.

After raising this with customer services they sent a loss adjuster to look and having decided that there is "no manufacturing fault" (quite how when they can't see inside the cushion is beyond me) they deny any responsibility.

I am not concerned as to whether it is a manufacturing fault, a defect in the materials, a design / specification flaw or anything else for that matter. It is plain to see that the sofa provided is not of reasonable or expected quality.

This response to the issue seems to be little more than a cynical attempt by the company to try and avoid their statutory responsibility to provide a product of acceptable quality.

I now appear to have no choice other than to start legal proceedings to remind Heals of their Consumer Rights Act obligations to provide a product:

- of reasonable quality,
- which conforms with its description and
- lasts a reasonable time,

It is a shame that it appears necessary for a court to take this up. All I had asked for was for the faulty cushion to be replaced.

I've seen sofas 25% of the price of this one last much longer. And this is all happening after 6 months delay in the original delivery and one of the armchairs in the same suite arriving with broken springs.

Very disappointed with this level of service and customer care from a previously trusted brand.

Heals Customer services - request number #908690 if you are interested. I would love to avoid formal proceedings and have spent a month seeking to achieve that but currently appear to have no alternative

Bad experience with their online store. I bought a ceramic online and it took a couple of months to be delivered. I was happy with waiting although delivery was supposed to be only a week on their product page in the first place.
The item arrived completely smashed as there was no bubble wrap or protection in the package. Disappointed with their delivery quality.

We visited Heals mid-week to look at their range of sofas. Having already researched online we were able to try out in-store those which we had previously short-listed. During this process were were assisted by Doyin, the furniture departments very personable and knowledgable customer sales person. After discussing various options with Doyin we ordered a Sonno two-seater, it being the most comfortable of those we sat on. We were also considering a 4 seater and liked the Devon however we decided to hold off until we looked at alternative options. The following week, having considered alternatives, we decided to order the Devon 4 seater by telephone.
Thoughout the process, in store and by telephone, Doyin was most attentive to our requirements and provided a first class customer experience. We now look forward to taking delivery of our two sofas in the spring.

I can honestly say that you should avoid buying from Heals at all cost. Having purchased 2 Mistral sofas in January (don’t buy these as clearly, they cannot deliver them in good faith) we finally lost all patience and cancelled our order the 1st week in August through lack of delivery. In that 8-month period we only ever received email updates, not once did someone from the so-called Customer Service Team pick up a phone to speak with us and when we left messages to be called back no one could be bothered. If this is really Heals level of customer service (I use that term lightly) all I can honestly say is that they do not deserve to be on the high street and that the Board and Management need to have a good hard look at their business model.

Bought a wooden dining room table which took its time arriving. Upon arrival I immediately oiled the table and have done so every 2 months. We have also always used a heat protection cloth. The table now has cracks in it and Heal's sent out one of their technicians to come and look at it, after numerous emails from me and unanswered calls they eventually replied telling me that this is normal and i should just oil and sand the table. Absolutely shocking and i will never use Heal's again

This is a premium store, selling high end brands and a very high price point. This must be accompanied by a high level of customer service and knowledge but this store simply does not have that in its DNA.

Most of its products can be bought at a number of other high end retailers and I would encourage anyone interested in these brands to go elsewhere. Anywhere else in fact!

I have bought a lot of these brands from a range of retailers, and never have I had the "Ryan Air" experience I had with Heal's.

They don't deserve my deserve my business and I would go further and say they don't deserve yours either . They are not doing us a favour in selling us these products, and the sooner they realise this the better. But I fear that ship has sailed.

Ordered a £1,500 wardrobe from Heals and received a call from them to arrange delivery. All fine. When delivery guy turned up he said he can't deliver and assemble it today as we hadn't emptied the room. At no point had they said I had to empty the bedroom. We had cleared half of the room obviously, as that is where the wardrode could be assembled and would be used. Spoke to a rude customer services person and they said I was told in the email to clear out the room. Even the delivery man couldn't see anything in the email and he comfirmed that and said they never tell their customers to do it often have to take the orders back to the depot. I asked if they can come back tomorrow and they said they have no slots nor could they say when they would come back. I then asked for a refund. We tried to call them again and was told someone would call back in 24 hours. Extremely poor service, stick with John Lewis, as that is where we will eb buyinjg our wardrobe from when we get the refund. Looking forward to posting this across every reveiw site until they apologies and refund us.

Fantastic from start to finish. Great set of shelves (times 2) and the delivery was efficient. The delivery team took real care to ensure that they assembled the furniute carefully and didn't leave any mess behind them. the Brunel shelves are very good quality and very sturdy. I would recommend them and Heals. .
