The gallery is world class. Small but absolutely one of the most wonderful spaces to absorb the displays.
Each time they transform the gallery for the new exhibition it blows me away. Just seen the Larry Achiampong and it's great. Having grown up around the same influences it's a welcome change from traditional artists with a contemporary colorful and fun vibe yet powerful messages about race and class. I enjoyed the day with my 9 year old daughter and while she gravitated to the gaming area we were able to share some interesting chats about Covid, discrimination and what it means to her, being British and mixed race.
Fabulous facility in the heart of CMK ❤️

Need to tree that the poor rating is down to gallery staff - not the exhibition.
As has been said perviously its paperless ticket - all good .....
But the option of not giving significant amounts of personal information causes consternation and it needs to be said 'rudeness'.
(I think they are using the data to claim back monies from the LA or ACE)
However not giving the data means you do need to pay full ticket price and have an argument.
Was very unhappy to see a nursing mum asked to leave the gallery (its not the 70s) which caused the child lots of distress.
Exhibition excellent, if a little restricted (given the volume of work available and that the prints are all recent)
For context I had traveled 90+ miles to see this exhibition and I very nearly walked !

I have never visited before and travelled nearly 3 hours to see the Vivian Maier Anthology Exhibition. To be honest I was dreading, having building up my hopes, being let down. I need not have worried. This was the best photography exhibition I have been to and I have been to a few.
Getting here was an easy drive from the South West and parking virtually outside was easy.
I had purchased my entry ticket for 11am before hand and arrived a fe minutes early. No problems.
Nice clean toilets before after a hot drive and the exhibition space was wonderfully cool, airy and well displayed.
One of the guides saw me bent down trying to read the text with the images (my one gripe, I have no idea why the details were at knee level!)
Guide when and got me a booklet in large print that gave all the details.
Such was my interest I needed a break to reflect so was able to go out and use the coffee shop (nice clean coffee shop with friendly staff) before returning to exhibition. There is no limit on your time and I took hours to see, explore and reflect upon the display.
All staff were super friendly and helpful. The venue is excellent and airy and the gift shop sold books relative to the exhibition subject.
A first rate experience for me that I have lots of notes to make when I get home.
Thank you to all.
Oh added bonus, no problem taking photos but not video.

Maier exhibition poorly lit. Ridiculous "paperless" ticket system -- took ages for assistant to type full name and e-mail address with 2 fingers. Booking with QR code available - but no EE signal. Why should I have to give my e-mail address to get into a commercial exhibiton?

We attended the Vivian Maier Anthology exhibition yesterday - lots to see and well displayed. Good cafe & friendly people. Only negative was trying to access it (by car) there was no mention of Park & Ride (shouldn’t all towns be promoting this?) and I had to do a lot of research to check out the options. It turns out this facility does exist (approach from M1 junction 14) but when I called the gallery to ask which stop I should get off at, the person didn’t even know the park-and-ride existed – as it turned out, the stop was directly opposite (within a few metres) of their gallery!…..this really needs to be promoted on the website & included in staff training. Other than that, we enjoyed our day & would return….good shop too.

Drove from London in order to see the Vivian Maier Anthology exhibition which was excellent. We shall definitely be returning to the MK Gallery for future exhibitions. Everything was very well presented indeed.

Just been reading teh reviews of MK Galley, so prompted to add another. Our first but not last visit to this gallery was to see the excellent Laura Knight. A 50 mile drive purposefully from London, and well rewarded. Such a great and complete show,. Bought catalogue to add to our growing collection .. Will definitely be returning to see Vivien Meyer, who we last saw in Venice... how's that. Oh and the cafe was excellent too.

Have just visited the exhibition of Ingrid Pollard’s work at the Milton Keynes gallery. Both the exhibition and the gallery were superb. Very interesting and unusual exhibition, a mix of photography and art, challenging material but much of it also beautiful.
The gallery is very friendly, welcoming and well organised with a well stocked shop and good quality café. For those who are not local – Milton Keynes is only 30 minutes from London Euston and the gallery is a short bus ride from the station. Thoroughly recommend.

Great exhibition space. The paintings we well lit, captions clear and there was plenty of space. The overall standard of curation was very high. The staff were friendly and helpful and the exhibition supervision unobtrusive. The facilities in the Gallery are excellent, including the cafe. Recommended.
