We were staying next door and dropped in for an impromptu wine tasting. We were the only ones there with the owner and his dog. We had a lovely chat, learned a lot about the area and Duke’s, and of course tasted some beautiful wines.

Popular, quality winery with free tastings. Last time visited though a number of the best most popular wines were already sold out which was a shame. The best wines in Porongurup and arguably in the Great Southern.

This place has a beautiful cellar door and offer generous tastings of their range of outstanding wines. They have rightly received rave reviews from wine critics in recent years, producing some of the nicest cool climate reds and outstanding rieslings I have tasted. We were talked through the wine offerings by the Winery manager who was a friendly lady with great knowledge of the area and everything about the winery and the wines. There is a range of different wildlife on the property that add to its intrigue, and the story of Duke starting the winery when he was 60 years old (and still going strong out pruning the vines himself) is also fascinating. A really interesting place to spend a little time, and try some delicious wine!

We were lucky enough to meet Duke and have him make our wine tasting experience so much fun! He knew a lot, we had such a laugh and gave us a great variety too. The area is beautiful and the wines taste incredible too.
Dukes vineyard is an absolute must visit if you are in the area or nearby!!

Dukes winery is the pick of the wineries in the region. Their 2017 Riesling was wine of the year and their Magpie Hill range is amazing value. Dukes snd Freddy are great hosts and we had a pleasant tasting.

The riesling from this vineyard has just won the coveted title of best wine in Australia and the national wine show. All the wines are good but I need not tell you that the riesling excels. Always nibbles on the counter and very friendly, helpful advice from the owners. If your a rugby fan engage Ian in conversation, he used to play at a high level.

Tried every wine, and couldn't fault them! Congrats to Duke and Rob Diletti. Bought a decent quantity for cellaring, and had a nice visit! Wine Of The Year!

I don't normally take the time to write reviews but my time at Duke's Vineyard was one I will never forget! My sister and I decided to stop in on our drive back to Margaret River and we were greeted by the beautiful staff member Rachel Bass. Her knowledge, professionalism and all around great energy made this our best cellar door experience to date. The wine (and stories that accompanied them) were some of the best I have encountered, and I walked away buying (a few!) bottles that I can be aged for 10-20 years - I even invited Rachel to crack one with me on my 50th birthday (currently 27). Now thats a solid start to a new friendship! It was an excellent way to spend a Sunday morning, we didn't stop talking about it the whole drive back. Could not recommend enough!

It has been 7 years since I last visited Dukes , and it is still the best cellar door in Australia. Great award winning wines , very generous tasting measures , including their best wines. Helpful tips of where to eat and drink in the region. Really genuine friendly hosts , with 95 point Halliday wine , set in amazing countryside .. with a tasting room open 7 days a week

we highly recommend visiting this vineyard. It's wine is superb and hard to get in many places! The sommelier was very friendly and helpful in her explanations. The vineyard is beautiful with gorgeous views.
