I didn't know a lot about glassblowing before coming here, but thought that it would be fascinating to learn more about it, especially in a place that knows so much about it and makes such beautiful glasswork. They walked us through the process and showed us how to make different pieces of glass art, and the final artwork is so breathtakingly beautiful that I was afraid to touch anything.

Aside from the varied and beautiful display of glassware that Sheva Chaya has made, she does daily glassblowing demonstrations that are really fascinating. Worth a visit.

What an incredible, unique and personable artist. Shared her very impressive lifes’ story.
Her gallery is an ongoing work of art by itself. Ancient building and still discovering well preserved arches and a 29 foot well. It lends itself as a backdrop for her works of art. Water colors, glass blowing and many commissioned pieces are strewn around the walls. Best take-a-way- explaining every detail of making a blown glass drinking glass.

Sheva Chaya is a talented painter and glass lower and her glassblowing demo and talk were excellent . Her gallery is exceptional and we purchased gifts that she is shipping back to the states so we do not have to travel with extra stuff. You can also order from her website internationally

Excellent watercolours that she has also made into high-quality, reasonably priced prints, ; Interesting glassblowing demonstration, and some very nice glass pieces that we bought, and one that we ordered.; Also it was very enjoyable talking with Sheva Chaya --- she has a very positive Zionist story worth hearing.

We wandered in by accident, and loved Sheva Chaya's ART and her STORY. The watercolours were evocative and accessible, and we bought several exquisite pieces ( she sells prints, which makes her art affordable.
Her artistry in glassblowing is very unusual, and here too we bought delicate pieces that were very special: the glassblowing demonstration enabled us to understand the process much better. We highly recommend! Cynthia and Ilan Rubin, Jerusalem.

We visited the Sheva Chaya Glassblowing Studio over the Passover holiday. I have always been fascinated with glassblowing and love the artist demonstrations.
Sheva Chaya did not disappoint. She gave an hour-long lecture demonstration, with a large TV screen mounted above so the entire audience could see clearly what she was doing. During her lecture she tolerated some fairly disruptive behavior from younger audience members. But being a mother herself, apparently this left her unfazed. I was amazed she could concentrate on her craft. After the demonstration was over, she answered all questions asked, especially from the youngsters who had given her grief during her lecture. She was very patient with them.
During the last half-hour of the demonstration, she created a cup with a molded rim from scratch (i.e. blue borosilicate glass tube) with a free-form design on it. After the demonstration was over I examined the cup more closely, and fell in love with it. Especially since it had literally been created in front of me. It fit my arthritis-deformed fingers perfectly, as if made for them. She stated her price for the cup, which seemed a fair price for a uniquely-designed item. I paid her, and returned 90 minutes later to pick it up after some necessary post-creation processes were completed. Now I have a unique, one-of-a-kind Kiddush cup, which I initiated on the 7th night of the Passover holiday.
Recommended.

I work with glass art both fusing and leaded but have never dealt with blown glass. This place when I saw it caught my fancy and I had to see what was here. Loved the work.

I visited Sheva Chaya's gallery on a group trip with friends and was inspired both by her beautiful art and by the depth behind it.
She takes a Kabbalistic idea and expresses it succinctly and beautifully both in glass blowing and in her dreamy watercolor paintings.
I also loved her idea of taking a broken wedding glass (Jewish custom is for the bridegroom to break a glass under the chuppah to remember the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in his happiest moments) and re-blowing it into a beautiful new creation for the couple's home. What a beautiful way to demonstrate the rebuilding of broken hearts and the rebuilding of the Jewish People!
