Deff wasn't worth 75$.... it was ok it was only a 30 minute game. Went through 3 rooms with basic puzzles. Not at all challenging. Then end. Alot of money for not much of anything. Go to an arcade. This was a waste really

It kills me to rate this three stars. I played Tomb back in the original location over a decade ago and absolutely loved it.
We were scheduled to play Drago's Castle and Espionage. Drago's Castle was simple but fun. It had great props and production values. Everything worked the way it was supposed to, with one exception, which didn't affect the gameplay, but did affect the story.
Espionage was a mess. Having never played it before, I can't tell if the problems were from technological glitches, poor game design, or both. But there definitely were some of both problems, it just wasn't always clear which was which. For the technical glitches, one of the automatic doors started to open when we solved the puzzles, got a few inches open and then all of a sudden shut. You could tell we were supposed to have advanced, because the next room was set up and the announcement was playing behind the door. We waited around for over a minute before the controls had to be manually reset. The video and voice clips didn't sync and some of the props were broken, such as a handle on one of the second room's slides. As for poor game design, the early puzzles rewarded trial and error, with the narrator even suggesting to try out a few different things on a puzzle. But the latter puzzles punished trial and error without warning - we just spontaneously lost the puzzle when trying the same strategy that had worked in the other room. There was no warning that this would cause us to lose. After reading other reviews of Espionage (from here and other 5 Wits), I'm convinced that there was some type of display that was supposed to be showing in our room to indicate our progress and it wasn't displayed. Another room DID feature a 5 minute countdown. After trying a few things out (again, with no indication of what success or failure meant), we were booted out from the room after about a minute, not 5. Somehow, we got a higher score for Espionage, a game we lost, than Drago's Castle, a game we won. It makes me wonder what the scores even mean. All in all, we spent approximately 15 minutes in Espionage, which was supposed to be approximately 35 minutes. We didn't get out super early because we were great; we got out early because the game was malfunctioning.
I don't mind losing games. My track record with escape rooms and games like 5 Wits is pretty spotty, to be honest. But I hate losing when it's not my fault, because things clearly weren't working (the door, the projection, the props), poorly designed, or both.
I'm not sure how much quality control goes into games like this - are they checked on a regular basis and patched when things inevitably break? Thousands of people do these games every year, so wear and tear is going to happen. But there's NO WAY that this was supposed to be the intended experience for Espionage - a glitchy, confusing mess.
Everything about the 5 Wits experience had the potential to be great. The props look great and the stories are interesting and fun. The people checking us in and helping us start the games were enthusiastic and cheerful. It has potential to be an amazing experience. THAT'S the real reason I'm giving this three stars instead of 1 or 2. But when you're paying $35 per person for a game, you really don't want the experience to be impacted by malfunctioning puzzles.

5 - the staffs are friendly and helpful. We had 9 kids and 3 adults for my daughter’s birthday party and we didn’t have to do much as they assisted all the way. The place is really cool and kids had a bless. Definitely recommended!
