Very pleasant walk on well maintained paths and boardwalk. Peaceful ambiance with occasional encounters with friendly locals and unperturbed seabirds.

A nature sanctuary for birds and plant life around Lake Curalo. This walk was recommended to us by our motel front desk and we are so glad we decided to take up the suggestion. It's not really visible from the main road but once you start walking you feel you are a world away from town life. We walked it in the evening so the lighting of the sunset and going into dusk was just beautiful. Part of the walk had a name 'Alan Gibson Boardwalk'. Really enjoyed walking along this path and would recommend it as a must do activity if visiting Eden

We rode and walked this from the caravan park. Can walk all the way round if the sandbar is closed. Nice walk and scenery

A lovely spot to walk any time of the day. Access is easy from multiple points so you can walk a short way or a long way.

Lake Curalo is a sea lake that has closed because of sandbars. It is still teeming with life and you can regularly see fish jumping out of the waters - along being a sanctuary for numerous birds including the elegant black swan.

This is a beautiful walk. We were able to walk around the whole boardwalk and then over sand, grass and rock (which was a little challenging) to complete the circle. We saw many birds. It was good to take the dogs - on leash for the board walk and off leash on the sand. It’s easy to walk and see birds for people who have difficulty walking.

Nice, well maintained boardwalk with 2 options (400m dead end walk or 800m walk to town). Parts of it can be a bit pungent due to dead undergrowth and detritus. Views are great at dusk and plenty of bird life

Roughly a 5km flat walk around this beautiful Lake, now locked away from the sea. about 40% of the walk is actual board walk, providing excellent views and proximity to the waters of the lake. The other is a mixture of gravel track, rocks, and beach sand providing that aerobic edge to your walk. fantastic way to start or end your day.

The walk was nice but not well sign posted. We started on the west side of the lake and walked around clockwise. The first part went through forrest, then into open fields. There were a couple of turns which were not sign posted so taking note of the trail map is useful. Near the outlet (the part where the lake meets the ocean), there were two tracks that we could have taken. Neither sign posted and this part is cut off the trail map. We took the right hand one and ended up walking around the rocks before getting onto the stand. I'm not sure if this is the intended route? Then we walked along the sand to the road which runs along Aslings beach. We walked the road trying to find a hint as to where the track resumed but missed it until the boardwalk (and I only saw that by peering through the bush). I think we were meant to go through the caravan park or something. The boardwalk was good; nice and wide. The lake was a bit smelly which may have been due to low water levels. There were jellyfish in the lake which were near edges frequently. I've posted some photos which shows the route I walked - hopefully this is helpful to anyone unfamiliar with the walk like I was. The loop was 5.66km.

This is the most beautiful experience. Go by yourself or with a friend but be quiet - so much to see here in the morning
