Hi! The easiest way to get there is by car, but I'm not aware of cross-border taxi prices and it sounds like it could be very expensive.

Alternatively you can take a train from Como San Giovanni station to Lugano FFS which takes between 30 to 40 minutes (time and infos on the sbb site). When in Lugano you have to use one of the two underpasses that get you from the tracks out of the station (if you are in one of the forward wagons you'll naturally find the most efficient of the two) and instead of going to the front of the station and in direction of Lugano you go toward the back and in direction of Piazzale di Besso. When you come out, you'll be 20m away from the bus stop you need. That is bus 436 direction Agra Roncone. You can buy the tickets directly on the bus and find time schedules on the same site previously mentioned (if you type Como S. Giovanni - Montagnola Paese as a trip it will tell you everything). You stay on the bus approximately 15 min and get out at "Montagnola paese". The museum is not even 2 minutes away on foot from there. There are signs and you can ask anybody about it.
