Hello, I'm Mexican and I'm traveling on July to Lugano just to see the Hermann Hesse museum and his grave. I already read your answer of how to get there from Lugano, by taking the bus 436. My doubt if: Is it possible to pay buses with debit card? or is it mandatory to do it with cash? In Mexico is hard to get CHF. Thank you for your answer.

Hallo!
It is very often possible to pay the bus tickets by credit card.
However if you want to be on the safe side it is also really easy to change Mex$ (or any other currency) into CHF directly at the station of Lugano. There is an exchange office right into the station. I think you can even exchange a really small amount of money (like 20 CHF) and use part of it for the bus, 8.50 for the museum ticket and the rest for a snack at our café (which does NOT accept credit cards, unfortunately).
Changing money at the exchange office you get a better deal than paying with foreign currency or credit cards in shops and restaurants. Moreover Montagnola is an extremely small village and some facilities don't accept credit cards.

Thank you so much for your answer. I just have this question... the entrance to the museum must be paid with cash or were you referring to the café? Anyways I think I’ll have to buy some CHF just to make sure I won’t have any problems at Montagnola.
