I think this may be the same villa i stayed at back in the 70s ; i recognize the garden space out back leading onto the beach! I 'm not sure who owned it then ' i was only about 10 but i think the owners lived on the bottom floor ' i don't think there was air conditioning + i recall a tray /tub we had to stand in to shower we got by without these modern mod cons and enjoyed ourselves fine ' so i don't see what difference it makes as long as its reasonably clean 'eg a sense od adventure and a break from the norm like luxuries is all the fun of a good holiday if you ask me!! Glad to see the old taverna i think its called the white house at the far end of the beach is still up and running ' plus the view across the bay to a headland coastal stretch of Albania at the time a communist regime!!! No need to drive unless going further away for a night out in Corfu town mayby everyone walks everywhere in Greece which is why they live healthier and longer.
