My family of 4 (including 2 teenager) stayed at this hotel for our December skiing trip in Pyeongchang-gun. The hotel rooms were excellent and with a built-in kitchenette. Hotel staff were really hospitable despite their lack of spoken English. Downside is no food available but you can always buy a nearby convenience store and heat it up wit micro oven. Laundry facility is available and especially needed for washing soiled clothing’s from the ski trips. However transport to hotel is not so convenient. We took a shuttle to the Pheonix park resort from the train station but waking with heavy luggage for the 1km is quite a challenge. For the return trip we decided to take a taxi instead of walking. Back to Pheonix park resort but since we had 4 luggage, we needed to boom two taxis as they do not have enough luggage space for 4 in the boot. Other than this, Wen had a splendid stay at the Storey Residence.…
We stayed here for a week with our 4 and 6 yo and had a great stay. The room has a loft which is only 1.20m high with 2 futon beds. Kids loved their space up there. It features a small kitchenette with 2 electrical heaters, a fridge, watercooker and a modern shower/toilet (plenty hot water for all 4 of us to shower). There are 3 microwaves on the hallway for everyone to use. We could store our skigear at the slopes which was great as it would have crowded the room too much. The story residence is about 1 km from the slopes and walking/taking a taxi is the only way to get around. The staff were extremely kind to take us to the slopes every morning (and the ski school called the taxi to take us back as kids too tired and cold to take the walk). Through their translation app we were able to communicate with the residence staff and they always seemed to want to do anything we needed. Very very friendly and helpful! Supermarkets around the corner (3-4 min walk). …
Visited during pyonchang olympics family of 3. Seemed to be a new building 10 min walk from phoenix ski center. New modern low rise building. Need to walk 5 min to get to shops. All concrete and tiles so can be noisy if there are loud guests in the common areas but generally ok. Kitchenette with bar fridge and single sink and stove. No microwave but there are several microwaves for common use on every floor. Nice modern bathroom (no bath). Floors are heated and there is air conditioning. Comfortable bed and bedding. There are several restaurants in town and a large convenience store. No restaurant in the builing but during the Olympics they provided breakfast in the lobby but not sure that this will continue afterwards. There is construction next to the hotel but there was no activity during our stay (I think the construction is due to finish end of 2018). The mezzanine level of the unit can sleep 2 or 3 but it is very low about 1.2 m in height. Easy to see from the main road. Overall very good as it was brand new and very clean.…
